About the Lute Society

THE LUTE SOCIETY, founded in 1956, exists to promote the lute and its music. Even if you can't make it to our meetings and recitals in London, joining the Lute Society is an excellent way of building up your music library, and of keeping in touch with news in the Lute world. We are happy to retail our publications to
non-members. The Society currently has around 730 members (2006, May).
